“Please intelligent reply’s only.” The Tea Party movement (TPM) is an American populist political movement which is generally recognized as conservative and libertarian, and has sponsored protests and supported political candidates since 2009. It endorses reduced government spending, opposition to taxation in varying degrees, reduction of the national debt and federal budget deficit, and adherence to an originalist interpretation of the United States Constitution.
The name “Tea Party” is a reference to the Boston Tea Party, a protest by colonists who objected to a British tax on tea in 1773 and demonstrated by dumping British tea taken from docked ships into the harbor.

Are there any politicians in America that understand that letting all of our manufacturing jobs migrate to China is bad for our country? Do they understand that the jobs exodus drives down wages and exponentially drives down government revenues, creating higher and higher unemployment and larger and larger debts?
Are there any politicians that want to fix America’s economy and fix America’s budget by ENDING trade with China?

I’d like to know, because that politician will probably get my vote for President in 2012. Who is it?

Where are the Tea Party folks who were going to cut the deficit? Already they are raising debt ceiling and trying to repeal Deficit reduction programs like Private Health Care Reform. They passed tax cuts for the wealthy with no way to pay for them. Is this just more of the Bush policies that ruined this countries economy? Is the Party over for good?

Hang on to your sense of humor, you are going to need it because it actually works and to get where you want to go with our national debt it will definitely show you some pain:

I am not talking theory here. The facts clearly point that massive tax cuts by the fed are followed by budget deficits. It happened after the Reagan tax cuts and it happened after the Bush tax cuts. Now I know some say that, those cuts are supposed to be accompanied by reductions in spending etc…. But the fact of the matter is they pass the tax cuts and do not cut spending….so the bottom line is they cut taxes knowing deficits will in fact follow.

Why would a country run its budget knowing that its going deeper and deeper into the debt..wanting to spend money on things that it knows it does not have ..knowing it has to borrow from other countries? Isnt this a bit delusional?

Once again, I am speaking reality here, please do not repeat some theory back to us here that you have heard about or read about of what is “supposed” to happen when taxes are cut.

SammyCal asked:

From today’s Wall Street Journal.

“We’ve never fretted over budget deficits, at least if they finance tax cuts to promote growth or spending to win a war. But these deficit estimates are driven entirely by more domestic spending and already assume huge new tax increases. CBO predicts that debt held by the public as a share of GDP, which was 40.8% in 2008, will rise to 67.8% in 2019—and then keep climbing after that. CBO says this is “unsustainable,” but even this forecast may be optimistic.
Here’s why. Many of the current budget assumptions are laughably implausible. Both the White House and CBO predict that Congress will hold federal spending at the rate of inflation over the next decade. This is the same Democratic Congress that awarded a 47% increase in domestic discretionary spending in 2009 when counting stimulus funds. And the appropriations bills now speeding through Congress for 2010 serve up an 8% increase in domestic spending after inflation.
Another doozy is that Nancy Pelosi and friends are going to allow a one-third or more reduction in liberal priorities like Head Start, food stamps and child nutrition after 2011 when the stimulus expires. CBO actually has overall spending falling between 2009 and 2012, which is less likely than an asteroid hitting the Earth.”
