In my state and nationally, budget impasses are likely to turn into government shut downs. In preparation, “non essential” employees are going to get pink-slipped.
As governments drown in debt, wouldn’t this be a good place to start wielding the budget axe for permanent reductions????
Costowar – I’m sure even you know that if we eliminate the entire military we would still be well in the hole. You Libbies… Sigh…

1.They want a deregulated free market but they want jobs to stay in America.
2.They want guaranteed health coverage regardless of preexisting conditions but without a big government Mandate.
3.They want big tax cuts along with deficit reductions.
Ask the most Americans weather Republican or Democrat how they want to lower the debt. By raising taxes or cutting spending. Cutting spending wins by a huge margin.
Then you ask what government spending do you want to cut?
ANSWER::: NOTHING
We have half a million of our troops in other people’s country all over the world. Maintaining that and everything that goes into defense costs us about a trillion dollars a year. Most of witch goes to fighting the Russians in 1978 lol
Do we spend so much on fighter planes for all those dog fights we get into with the Taliban? Submarines to foil there evil plots to blow up our ships with car bombs? And space lasers to shoot down their exploding underpants? lol
You want to know what I think Defense spending really is? Is a giant welfare program. A jobs program for Defense workers to build crap we don’t need. We spend more on weapons then the next top 15 military powers combined! Can we cut it in half? Lets spend as much as the next 8 countries combined.
Lets see if anyone invades us at that point.

I am from New York, but a full time student in Florida attending college, I am 22 years old and a couple of months ago I was rushed to the hospital because of my appendix was to the point of bursting, however I had no health insurance because I do not work and health insurance is too expensive. However I was left with a debt of over 40,000 dollars which is more than my own college tuition. Are there any resources I can look for? Do I qualify for any health debt reduction? I am only a student and I cannot afford to pay for this operation! I usually pay cash when I go for my yearly check in…what should I do?
