Okay, here’s a scenario (sorry for the long story):
A married couple with two kids. The mother makes 1/2 the amount of money the father does. The father gives the mother a hard time about providing financially for the family. The mother knows that he’s cheated on her in the past (and there is a possibility that he’s still cheating on her). So he accuses the mother of not contributing towards the household money, especially for the kids, but the mother contributes as much as her salary allows her to. The husband, on the other hand, contributes less than she does (remember, he makes twice as much as her), but he says he pays for everything. Obviously not true. The problem is, when his kids ask him for money, he tells them he cant give them money because has so much debt that he has to pay off (he blames the debt on the kids). He’s very convincing when he speaks, but the problem is that he never shows anyone any proof of his debt. When he fills out financial papers, like applying for a price reduction on something, he does not write down the debt he supposedly has (the mother has seen these papers because he has forgotten to hide them where he usually hides his papers). Oh and dont mention anything about a divorce. There’s a huge chance that wont happen.
How is he in debt when he doesn’t really contribute a lot of money in the household. The mother makes less, but spends more and she has less debt than he does. How does that happen?
Is it possible that he is lying about his debt? How does one know?

Alright, I’m taking “International Economics” and I have to write a paper on the negatives that each can impose on INTERNATIONAL TRADE, the ECONOMY, or IMMIGRATION.
I’ve found out that O’Bama wants to RAISE the amount of immigration into the USA which UNDERMINES domestic salaries as foreigners take away domestic jobs. That is my first argument. Do you know of any more? I know he wants to fight NAFTA; does this mean he wants to impose Tariffs??!
For Mccain, I haven’t indulged too much into his yet; do you all have any negatives for him? I just read a little bit that he voted no against:
“Voted NO on prioritizing national debt reduction below tax cuts.”
Vote to table [kill] an amendment that would increase the amount of the budget that would be used to reduce the national debt by $75 billion over 5 year. The debt reduction would be offset by reducing the tax cut in the budget.
framework from $150 billion.
I negatives on his INTERNATIONAL TRADE; help!
I’m getting my sources from the Websites of each person and:

you will notice that it is a “.org” NOT some “.com” site.
Some of you who have responded have no idea about economics – I’m about ready to gradute w/an Econ major btw.

I used two credit cards which have now decided because I was late on one, that they both would increase my rate to 30%. My balances are extremely high, and I do not know what to do. I have only charged a total of maybe $15,000 but because of the interest I now owe over $30,000 in only two years!!! I dont know what to do because I work on commission and I can only pay the minimums. If I got another job, I would not make enough to pay the minimums plus rent, bills etc. Does anyone know any ideas on how to get a loan to pay off the cards. I wouldnt even mind a loan for 15% if it got me out of the credit card mess. I feel like suing the card companies, I dont think they should be allowed to charge you more then I charged on the card. At this rate, I will be in debt $40,000 by April. What can I do? I dont want to do a Debt Reduction company, because I dont want to hurt my credit score. Even though I made on time payments, my finance charges are higher and go over the limit!

I have my own business and it has been around for over 4 years. My business has excellent credit including 3 credit cards and multiple vendors that I buy equipment and hardware from. I am going through a debt consolidation/reduction plan right now and have charged off 3 credit cards and paid a reduced amount as a settlement so basically my personal credit isn’t in great shape.
Citibank recently cut my credit limit on a BUSINESS credit card from $15,000 down to $2000 stating that they reviewed my personal credit and based on their review they lowered the limit on my BUSINESS credit card. How is this possible for them to base my business credit on a personal credit review?
I was in the middle of a business trip and was unable to pay for the rest of my meals and hotel because I only carry one credit card since it had a more than adequate limit. Needless to say it was a mess to scramble to find money to pay for food and expenses the last week of the trip.

I saw a few new features and some people make the most absurd arguments as to why they would and would not vote for some candidates. That stupidity is what led us to the disaster of the current administration who has led us to the brink of World War Three.

How in the world can the Republicans afford all these tax cuts for the rich? The deficits are 350 billion a year!
Shouldn’t we have a balanced budget maybe? Or invest in education? Debt reduction? Social help for the poor?
I didn’t want it.
I didn’t need it.
But thanks anyway.
We can’t afford to fix many rural and poor schools….but we got the money for tax cuts? Money is the root of all evil.
Well Jim my car is cool. See a pic of it on my 360 page!

We bought house (a foreclosure) in 2005 for $245K. Our loan ppl said our payments would be $1000/mth. We didn’t know about taxes and ins. Or the 2nd mortgage. Payments = $1800 a month.
We are self employed. 6 months later I refinanced the 2nd for repairs and business exp. Now we owe $300K – $200 on first & 100 on 2nd. Things did not continue to go well. We were loosing up to $2K a month sometimes, and getting by on credit cards!
So last year we put the house up for sale and guess what? Yup it still hasn’t sold. We were in credit card debt of $28K then. We’re in for $45K of cc debt now. And out of credit.
We are making enough to pay the mortgages, biz exp and groceries (4200 mth). Not enough to pay the credit cards (1200 mth). I’m at 30 days late with 8 cc’s now. We have no savings; some mths we may have enough to pay a debt reduction firm, but I can’t be sure.
If we lease purchase the house, that will give us money to move away and rent a cheaper house.
I just don’t know how many more months we can hold on. I don’t want to do bankruptcy.
Is there a way to do short sale without ending up with a 1099?
What about foreclosure? I really don’t want to do that but anyone have advice for me?
We’re making as much money as we can to pay our bills; the economy is hurting all small businesses. I never intended to have to use a debt reduction firm, this is very hard. The credit card companies won’t work with us until we’re 60-90 days over they say. I can’t get anyone that speaks good english on the phone at our 2nd mortgage company (Suntrust) and 1st (Countrywide) says they can’t do anything to help, not even deed in lieu.
There is no extra money for anything right now; this month we had to pay $600 to dentist for one of our kids. We have no health insurance. That’s why we couldn’t pay our cc’s this month.
Please don’t roast me; we need help from people smarter than us pls. Thanks.
This was our first house purchase, sorry we were green and didn’t know there would be extra taxes and insurance, esp at an extra $400 a month. Mortgage people have been getting bad press for not fully disclosing details. Sorry if we were one of the suckers.
We have no family other than ourselves -both sides. That *****.
Due to debt to income ratio, countrywide will not refinance, nor will any other companies. I’ve tried.
Please note – we recognised we had a problem last year and tried to be proactive and sell the house so we could pay our debts. Buying too much house was a huge mistake.
I’m just asking for help. Thanks
