Debt Reduction
BOBO asked:

How come tax cuts are not followed by actual reduction in government personnel & agencies? Both the Ron Reagan administration & GWB administration seemed to run “slightly” higher debts than say the Jimmy Carter & Bill Clinton administrations.
Of course the Jimma “DA” Carter & slick Willy administrations taxed their constituents till blinder than a bat. NONE of the administrations listed above CUT government personnel & or agencies of the fed.
Why give a tax break then debt spend like it’s your last day on earth(GWB)? I mean the constituents have to pick up the tab, WITH INTEREST no less! Why tax constituents blind for a surplus like the Clinton administration, then create more government positions to have to pay for?
Is it that difficult to break out the ball point pen & nix the funding for, say the EPA for the next year? I mean what a savings that would be for the taxpayer!!! Imagine, a whole bureocracy liquidated by the swipe of presidential/house/senate ball points!
Short of the Libertarians are there any other parties SERIOUSLY looking to nix personnel & or agencies/bureocracies???

LARGE MARGE asked:

Here I am after admitting to, and understanding my problem. I cannot say how long ago I started this HORRIBLE addiction, but I know it’s been a few years. I have a gambling problem. I fight it urge EVERY single day. Under the web information on “PATHOLOGICAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL GAMBLING, I found out I have most ALL of the symptoms. I’ve accumulated a MOUND of debt (thousands by now), and have kept it from my husband (of 3 years). I finally came out with it yesterday, and his reaction was nothing I expected….but now he is severly depressed, and I can say the same for myself. I am seeking professional help, but I am faced with this debt. I found a debt reduction plan I think I will go with, but what I want to know, is there any legal way to file bankruptsy to rid “gambling debt”, if I have a doctor’s diagnosis to proove my mental condition? I am ready to leave (from NY to FL), to stay with my sister to get things paid off and myself better. HELP.. any suggestions to this?

Just looking for some opinions and maybe some experiences here…

I have to change my bank account, I currently have Bank of America and because of starting an account with a debt reduction company, I must change to another bank.

I have had Well’s Fargo before, and I **** them… a LOT.

Aside from those 2 banks, I really don’t know what banks are good. I hear a lot of great stuff about WaMu – but I tried to switch to them before and there was a ridiculous waiting period before I could use the account – something like 45 days. That won’t work for me at all.

Does WaMu still have that waiting period? Can anybody suggest another bank that they have had great experience with?

Thanks in advance!

Marina

My wife and I each make about $50,000 a year, we both have credit card debt and student loans. we bought a house last year, so mortgage payments too, and we have two boys (12 & 15)

So far we have been ok, but I don’t feel we are getting ahead with our debt reduction. The house market is starting to go down, and interest rates will go up.

Every time I suggest we make a budget and cut some luxuries (like cable TV) she gets mad and accuses me of not trusting her with our banking. Now she also has her mind set on buying a new washer/dryer! the set we have are old (about 15 years) and normal capacity, but they WORK. She insists that we need new, larger capacity ones.

I will probably get a bonus for Xmas, and she wants to use it for the washer/dryer.

We’ve already borrowed money from her parents twice, and I can’t ask my parents for any. What we NEED is a budget, but she won’t talk about it!

What do i do? I thought about asking her parents to intervene, but that might make it worse.

Executive Summary
We design and deliver the systems, software
and services that drive next-generation communications
networks. Backed by Bell Labs
research and development, we use our
strengths in mobility, optical, access, data and
voice networking technologies, as well as
services, to create new revenue-generating
opportunities for our customers, while
enabling them to quickly deploy and better
manage their networks. Our customer base
includes communications service providers,
governments and enterprises worldwide.
We have three segments organized
around the products and services we sell.
The reportable segments are Integrated Network
Solutions (“INS”), Mobility Solutions
(“Mobility”) and Lucent Worldwide Services
(“Services”). INS provides a broad range
of software and wireline equipment related
to voice networking (primarily consisting
of switching products, which we sometimes
refer to as convergence solutions, and voice
messaging products), data and network
management (primarily consisting of access
and related data networking equipment
and operating support software) and optical
networking. Mobility provides software and
wireless equipment to support radio access
and core networks. Services provides deployment,
maintenance, professional and managed
services in support of both our product
offerings as well as multi-vendor networks.
Beginning in fiscal 2001, the global
telecommunications market deteriorated,
resulting from a decrease in the competitive
local exchange carrier market and a significant
reduction in capital spending by established
service providers.This trend intensified
during fiscal 2002 and continued into fiscal
2003. Reasons for the market deterioration
included general economic slowdown, network
overcapacity, customer bankruptcies,
network build-out delays and limited availability
of capital.
We believe that the market for telecommunications
equipment has stabilized
and is starting to grow in certain areas. The
growing demands of enterprises and consumers
for additional services tailored to
their needs is creating the need for a new
convergence of networks, technologies and
applications.

I’ve just been introducted to Dream Success Internation, Inc
It stands for Debt Reduction & Equities Acceleration Multiplex.

It’s a program designed to pay off debt (car payments, student loans, credit card debt, and even your mortgage) in 5years or less.

It’s not a Money Merge Account. It doesn’t require income verification, credit checks, refinancing or anything like that.

Do you know DREAM?
or
Would you watch the presentation and give me your honest opinion of this program? find it at www.DreamBizPro.com
under business tools – client presentation and then business presentation.

Please don’t answer unless you know – not just have an idea what this might be. thank you.

I’m considering signing up to sell this product but I only want to stand for something honest and good. I’m thinking I may have found it. – Your thoughts?
