Chopperman asked:
I had some medical problems this spring that led to being late on a couple of credit card payments. I’ve had A+ credit for 20 years until the last 6 months. Now, I find I have been able to work things out with every creditor except this one card. They are completely unwilling work with me or negotiate anything. Since I was late twice in a 12 month period, my rate went from 11% to 33% and my minimum payment doubled.

Any ideas on how I can deal with this problem? Are these “debt reduction programs” on TV worth exploring? Any creative ideas?
Asking for charity is not in my character. Just defaulting is not in my character either, but it’s getting closer to that because of the hard ball position the card company has taken. I need to do something in the next few days to get this monkey off my back.
